What keeps you moving forward to success?

Each day, we strive hard to move forward, to move towards our ultimate goal, the goal that everyone wants to reach, success. As for the fainthearted, success is the Everest of dreams he wants to reach and by merely speaking about it, his world falls apart. Its lame, isn’t it? Success is lying around the corner, and it is up to us to find the where we will find our success.
What keeps me moving forward to success? I know within me that I haven’t reached the state where I can say “I am successful”. Of course I am still a student and what I do in school will reflect how successful I will be in the future. But it doesn’t mean that success cannot be achieved unless you finish school with flying colors, success is ours once we find the real happiness in every aspect of our lives.
I must set goals, the first thing I will do as I take the road to success, setting goals and finding out what I need shall take the first step. Because when you know where you are going, no matter what happens, you will get there. And along the way, if you will carry and grab a hold of the goals you have, moving forward to success will be a piece of cake for you.
Setting goals might sound simple for some. In some ways it really is, but setting the right goals is the one that is really hard to do, for it involves a more critical way of thinking and meditation. Though it is only the first step, it will surely hurt once you set the wrong goals in the start and you are getting closer to the end, there is no turning back and all you can do is accept everything that comes along. You go with the flow without knowing where you “goals” went and now it left you.
After I set my goals, I shouldn’t stop, now is the time to suit myself and get ready to play the game, in order for me to move further from scratch and closer to success.
Setting goals is merely talking to myself, once I'm done talking, work must start, struggles and challenges will start to flow like a river taking my small boat filled with goals and dreams along with the current, taking me away from my real destination. But I must fight the current of the river of struggles and with my paddle I must strive double time to move forward and pass through.
Stop the talk and start the work, next step I must take to move forward. You might think working for goals is enough, no it is not, it can never be enough, knowing I am not the only one striving for success, there are also other people taking the road to success, the road is a narrow path and only few will make it, there are even times that others grab what’s yours and you're stuck in a line waiting for another opportunity to come.
This kind of challenge is a common stopover in your journey towards success, and you must not complain nor get tired, instead, take it as a tap to your shoulder from a friend saying “That’s okay, there’s always a next time, just work a little harder”. Heartwarming isn’t it?
Next thing to do, stand up, prep myself and continue moving forward to success, remember your goals, never leave one spot without them; they are your golden ticket to success.
Lastly, I must have myself inspired, in a way I can do everything I need with a smile on my face, telling myself “I am going to be successful and happy”. Ive mentioned happiness earlier in this article, and relating it to success is easy as 1-2-3.
Even simpler, it is easier to be successful when you are happy; there is no doubt about that. When you enjoy the things you do along the way, you are already successful in a way, for you’ve already experienced happiness some time in your journey. Like a perfect cup of coffee, you just need the perfect amount of everything. Goals, work, inspiration and a pinch of happiness, pack this all up and you're good to go. Success, here I come! J
